All the way around university campus which turns out to be 6.53kms! (just over 4 miles). And it only took me 44 minutes, burning 478 calories.
This is all according to the fitness app on my ipod though so I dont know how accurate that is.
Got back to my flat where all my female flatmates have decided to go on a “no-carb diet” starting tomorrow. There are two things I see a problem with here. First is that they want to start it tomorrow. The thing that really bugs me about people who want to lose weight, and I was like this too before, is that they always say “Oh I’ll start tomorrow” but it never happens, so we’ll just have to see about that.
The second thing is the no-carb thing. Okay, if you want to lose weight then cutting out carbs is gonna help that, but thats all theyre going to do and expect to lose weight. And it’s not going to work cause they’ll replace it all with more food and wont exercise etc. They’re not changing their attitudes or ideas about food and so they’re not gonna make a true change. If they do lose weight, they’ll just put it all back on again when they start eating carbs again.
I would tell them this, but I dont want to be accused of thinking my way is better than theirs, so tumblr, you get the brunt of this rant today. That is all,
